Sunday Cooking: Tortilla pie

This is SO delicious. It’s kind of a recipe that travels around our group of friends, no-one really knows where it came from and what the original is like. Anyway, everyone always loves it and it’s super easy to make.

What do you need?

  • Tortillas
  • 1 zuchini
  • Minced meat
  • Meat spices (I always use those for tacos)
  • Tomatoes
  • Peppers (paprika.. I always prefer the yellow ones)
  • Cheese
  • Crème fraiche

How do you make it?

First, put the meat on the heat.. when it’s done, add the spices and mix it well. Cut the zucchini in cubes and add it to the meat and cook it for a short time. Then start building the pie: start with a layer of meat/zuchini, pepper and tomato cubes, put a tortilla on top of it, smear creme fraiche on top of it and continue this until you have a pie 🙂 End with a layer of meat and vegetables and add some cheese on top of it! Put it in the oven for a bit (I usually put it on 180 degrees Celcius), it only has to get warm, so you have to check yourself for how long you put it in there 😉 Bon appetit!
