Midnight Recovery Concentrate and Daily Reviving Concentrate by Kiehl’s

Afgelopen twee jaar kreeg ik beide keren één product van Kiehl’s in mijn kerstpakket. Prachtige producten die erg mooi staan op mijn make-up tafel, maar op de een of andere manier deed ik er niet echt iets mee. Toen ik een paar weken geleden ineens allemaal oneffenheden in mijn gezicht kreeg, terwijl ik dat normaal gesproken absoluut nooit heb, besloot ik om ze eens af te stoffen, haha. Helemaal omdat vriendin Britt, die ik opzocht in Edinburgh in februari, compleet fan geworden is van dit merk en serieus de halve Kiehl’s winkel daar nog even leeg kocht dat weekend. Zij heeft farmacie gestudeerd en zegt dat dit één van de weinige cosmeticamerken is waarvan de concentratie werkzame stoffen hoog genoeg is om daadwerkelijk effect te hebben. Ik liet mijn huid daar testen door één van de verkoopsters en geheel toevallig raadde zij mij absoluut deze twee producten aan op basis van de uitkomst. Ik heb namelijk een vrij droge huid. Tijd om het eens een kans te geven dus.
Goed, de Daily Reviving Concentrate gebruik je dus ‘s ochtends, vóór je serum & dagcrème en het Midnight Recovery Concentrate ‘s avonds, na het reinigen van je huid en wederom vóór je serum & nachtcrème. Gezichtsoliën zijn sinds een jaar ongeveer ontzettend hip in cosmeticaland en vrijwel ieder skincare merk heeft er inmiddels wel één in haar collectie. Ik herinner me dat wij vorig jaar met L’Oréal Paris Ordinary Oils gezichtsolie lanceerden en dat iedereen -inclusief ikzelf!- huiverig was dat je er een ontzettend vette huid van zou krijgen. Maar niets is minder waar en vrijwel iedereen vond de olie erg fijn! Ook deze twee oliën laten juist een ontzettend mooie glow achter en zorgen ervoor dat mijn huid echt een stuk soepeler aanvoelt. Beiden ruiken bovendien ook heerlijk; de Daily Reviving Concentrate ruikt licht citrusachtig en de Midnight Recovery Concentrate ruikt naar lavendel. Inmiddels zijn alle rare bultjes én de meeste rode vlekjes op mijn huid vrijwel verdwenen, wat natuurlijk geweldig is. Dat hoeft uiteraard niet enkel door deze producten te komen, maar ze doen absoluut iets goeds voor mijn huid! Blijvertjes dus. Ook voor meiden met een normale tot vette huid schijnen deze oliën juist erg goed te kunnen werken omdat ze de huid kalmeren. Op veel reviewsites zijn de meningen sterk verdeeld, dus vraag altijd eventjes om een monstertje in de winkel om te testen hoe jouw huid op de producten reageert!

English/ For the last two year’s, there was a product from Kiehl’s in my Christmas box. Beautiful products that look gorgeous on my make-up stand, but for some reason I never really used them. When, all of a sudden, I started to get an uneven skin a couple of weeks ago – while I usually absolutely don’t have this problem – I decided to blow off the dust from these products and to give them a try, haha. Especially since my friend, Britt, whom I visited in Edinburgh in February has become a huge fan of the brand and seriously bought half the store when I was there. She has studied Pharmacy and says that Kiehl’s is one of the few cosmetic brands of which the concentrate of the active substances in the products – so what actually helps your skin – is high enough to actually have impact on your skin. I got my skin tested in store and coincidentally the sales lady advised me to use both these products as I have a very dry skin. About time to give them a chance!
Well, the Daily Reviving Concentrate is for the mornings, before your serum and day cream and the Midnight Recovery Concentrate is for the evenings, before your night serum and night cream. Facial oils are exceptionally hot and happening in the cosmetics industry and almost every skincare brand now has an oil in their collection. I remember that we launched Extraordinary Oils for your face last year for L’Oréal Paris and that everyone – including myself!- was quite skeptical whether or not it would make your skin oily. But we couldn’t be more wrong and everyone loved the oil! These two oils also leave a beautiful glow on my face and make my skin very supple. What’s more, both oils smell deliciously, the Daily Reviving Concentrate has this soft citrus-ish touch to it and the Midnight Recovery Concentrate smells after lavender. Meanwhile, almost all weird uneven and red spots on my face have disappeared, which of course is amazing. Of course, it’s possible that not all of it is thanks to the oils, but they undoubtedly have done some great things for my skin! A keeper for my beauty routine. Also for the girls with a normal to oily skin it’s been said that these product can help, since they calm the skin. The opinions on review websites are divided, so be sure to ask for a tester version in store, so that you can try how it works on your skin.
