I spotted this Volkswagen van and just had to take photos with it. It’s so cool! Must be so cool to do a road trip with it. Love how it blends with my new Zara vest (their fall collection is so good – quite refreshing after a disappointing spring/summer collection).
I really hope we have a beautiful fall with many warm days.. Can’t say we have had much this summer, and I’m longing so much for the feeling of an endless hot summer.

Yesterday, I already showed you a little preview of this look. Here’s the full look. Not many people around me like my new white jacket, my roomie even threatened me by saying that she wouldn’t walk next to me if I’d wear it during our shopping trip, haha. But I like its vibe, so edgy, independent, and cool.
Scored some really good items in the Zara sale as well, yesterday! So happy with them! There’s a little preview on Instagram (@marle_r), and soon you’ll see some of it making its appearance on the blog! I’m off for a workout now! Forgot my running shoes, so I’ll go for a mountain bike trip through the countryside instead!

I usually hate doing previews, but I was too busy being lazy in the backyard, reading my book this morning and found just too many pics that I liked in the shoot of this outfit. So I’ll have a better look this afternoon on which photos to select to show to you on the blog 🙂
As I said, I slept in this morning and then went to the backyard to read my new book (De Kraamhulp by Esther Verhoef, for my Dutchies here). Now I think I’m gonna hit the city for about an hour to check out the Zara sale for some really good bargains (are they there already?). Yesterday night, me and Laura spent hours sitting on a terrace of a small, Irish pub drinking tea, wine, and eating their delicious brownies. Eh… when does my workout schedule start again?

Today is my final master thesis deadline.. I’ve been working so, so hard over the past months and especially in the last week and days to finish everything off in time. I had many struggles arranging interviews with biopharma managers, and only managed to do so in the past two weeks. Therefore, I had such a short time to analyse and structure all the data and make a comprehensive story out of it. I hope I succeeded! Will restructure and re-read everything once more today, and then… in the end of the day finally submit it!
Then.. only the waiting, another final exam, and my thesis defense are left. I have hardly had any sleep in the past days, but a big plus: tomorrow evening I’ll be flying to Cannes to attend and help out at the Lions Festival! Couldn’t be more excited and wish I could be packing my suitcase already. (But hey: thesis comes first!)
A little happy moment was when I was going through my Instagram feed yesterday and came across a code to early-access Nelly’s sale (use: VIP4INSTA). I quickly clicked through to their website and discovered that the scuba jacket I’ve been lusting over for months was finally on sale! It used to be 99 euros (although now they say around 70..), and I paid 38, BIG WIN! SO HAPPY! Sometimes you just know you gotta wait 🙂 I also scored some perfect things at H&M and Zara last week, which I will show to you when I’m in Cannes! Happy Monday girls!
I know I’ve been saying it a couple of times before already, BUT by then I hadn’t spotted these absolute necessities yet (or regained an old obsession). The Nelly scuba jacket is really super cool, and… as long as I seem to be unable to find the perfect black leather jacket (BLJ is the new LBD, just so you know), I might as well opt for this one, non? Considering my wish to get my hands on perfect leopard slip-ons: these are perfect. Hairy, the right sole, the right print (some designers really are able to SO fuck up a leopard print.. anyone with me on this?), and… constantly sold out in my size (very smart of me to share them here again ;)). Oh well…
The Carrera sunnies are my obsession of last year, when in the end, I chose for the more classic folding Wayfarer. Maybe this year? It’d look so super bad-ass with that jacket, I almost can’t resist getting both of them. And since I still have this gift card… The Daniel Wellington watch is also an old crush. Love this one for spring/summer, and it’s perfectly different from my silver Michael Kors watch. Plus I could change the wrist band to a leather one for fall/winter and have two really classy and perfect watches…
Worked on my thesis today and hit the city center with my mom, looking for some sale bargains. We didn’t find much, however, she bought me a pair of Nike Air Max’s. I’m loving them, however… have to get used to wearing that kind of shoes again. I’m not yet sure whether they’re ‘me’, if you know what I mean. So, I’ll think about it a little longer and show them to you later! 🙂
